we were in Madagascar 13-20 Oct 2000. |

This map is from the excellent Mammals of Madagascar by Nick
Garbutt, and shows how little primary vegetation remains in the country, and
I added a few major city names. Mangily is in the southwest near Tulear.
Ampijoroa is near Mahajanga in the northwest. Mantadia is east of
Antananarivo. |
